Target Golden Temple : Do Sikhs See Pakistan’s Cowardly Tactics?

Must Read

In the silence of the night, Pakistan crossed a line no civilized nation ever should.
During Operation Sindoor, the rogue state attempted something utterly vile: targeting the Golden Temple, the spiritual heartbeat of the Sikh faith. This wasn’t merely military retaliation—it was a targeted psychological strike, a message drenched in malice.

Thankfully, the Indian Army’s rapid response turned what could have been a catastrophe into a resounding display of courage and clarity. Pakistan tried to fracture India at its most sacred. But instead, it exposed its hatred in high-definition.

Golden Temple in the Crosshairs: NaPak’s Unholy War

On the night of May 8–9, the calm near Amritsar’s border shattered as Pakistani forces launched unprovoked firing and attempted infiltration. Indian troops, ever vigilant, responded with clinical precision, repelling the attackers and hoisting the Tricolour by dawn.

What came next was far darker – Pakistan, smarting from defeats during Operation Sindoor, shifted targets to attack Golden Temple!

Its goal was no longer Indian military bases – but faith itself. Turkish-origin kamikaze drones such as YIHA-III and Songar, known for their precision and payload capability, flew toward one horrifying destination: the Golden Temple or Sri Harminder Sahib.

According to army sources, had it not been for India’s AKASH missile systems and L-70 Air Defence Guns, history might have recorded one of the worst desecrations of a religious site. The Golden Temple, or Sri Harmandir Sahib, was saved in the nick of time.

“They aimed at Sri Harmandir Sahib after failing to breach our military installations. But we stopped them all,” an Army officer said, eyes burning with pride and fury.

This was no accident. On May 7th, Pakistan also shelled civilian areas and another Sikh religious site in Poonch, revealing a deliberate anti-Sikh campaign.

Poonch Gurudwara Shelling: Pakistan Spills Sikh Blood

While Amritsar was spared, the border town of Poonch bled. Mortar fire from across the LoC directly hit a 200-year-old Gurudwara, killing three Gursikhs and civilians. Many Sikh were injured as they paid price for a NaPak’s revenge for strikes on terrorists. However, these weren’t collateral deaths – they were deliberate. India’s Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri didn’t mince words:

“Pakistan launched a coordinated attack on the Sikh community in Poonch. Sixteen civilians, including women and children, are dead.”

And yet, within hours, the ISI launched its backup strategy—disinformation. They claimed it wasn’t them. The NaPak strategy of “Lie Till You Die” was at plat once more!

The Digital Smokescreen: Lies About Nankana Sahib and More

As Indian forces blunted Pakistan’s physical attack, Islamabad turned to its usual arsenal of bot armies and fake news. Within 48 hours, these fake narratives trended globally:

  • Fake Video: India allegedly attacked Nankana Sahib, Guru Nanak’s birthplace. Completely false.

  • Hoax News: An Indian woman pilot was “captured” in PoK. Another lie.

  • Disruption Claims: India’s airports shut down and power grid collapsed. Not even close.

  • Emotional Manipulation: A 2020 video of crying army aspirants was repurposed to show “Indian soldiers weeping after defeat.”

Each of these lies was fact-checked and debunked by PIB, fact-check units, and national security agencies. But the timing was no coincidence.

Pakistan wanted global Sikhs to see their twisted fake version of event that never existed. It wanted them to believe India had become a danger to the Golden Temple. However, in fact, it was Pakistan who fired the first shot at Sikh shrines.

Khalistani Silence: When Your ‘Friends’ Watch Golden Temple Burn

Where were the loud voices of Khalistanis during this entire episode?

These so-called “defenders of Sikhism” parrot ISI and Pakistani narratives for years. They claim India persecutes Sikhs, suppresses faith, and defiles tradition. But when the Golden Temple itself was nearly attacked by Pakistani weapons, and when a Gurudwara in Poonch was shelled, they said nothing. Not. One. Word. Why?

Some Khalistani social media accounts sent post agianst the blackouts that Indian government enforced on conflict zones.

They thought the darkness that hides the location is a “propaganda” against Sikh Idenity. Some accounts even made request to their brethern to light up the Golden Temple in defiance to Indian authorities. Thankfully, the Sikhs of Bharat knew to ignore such posts and porvocations. Why? Because the Khalistani agenda was never about Sikh welfare. It has always been about pushing ISI-backed separatism. These radicals masquerade as torchbearers of Sikh pride, but the reality is chilling: they are willing to sacrifice sacred Sikh sites for a propaganda win.

Even Congress MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla, a proud Sikh, saluted the Army for saving Sri Harmandir Sahib. “We stand shoulder-to-shoulder with our forces,” he said. “They protected the temple. They protected us.”

The Golden Temple Survived And So Did the Truth

Pakistan’s message was clear: When its terrorists fall, it will target symbols of peace.

But India’s message was louder: We will protect every inch of faith, every drop of devotion.

Let this moment echo across the diaspora—from Vancouver to Birmingham, from Toronto to Punjab. The enemy of Sikhism isn’t India. The enemy is the one that sent drones and missiles to bomb the Golden Temple. NaPak Atankistan is the one that shelled Gurudwara in Poonch. The enemy is the one that lies through fake videos while your brothers die on the border.

The Golden Temple stands – But – let no Sikh forget who tried to bring it down.

The Golden Temple is not just a temple. It’s the Sikh spirit. That’s why Pakistan targeted it—not once, but multiple times. It fears what the Golden Temple represents: unity, strength, identity. And when that didn’t work, it tried to flip the script and blame India.

But the world saw through the lies this time. India saved the Golden Temple. Pakistan tried to destroy it. Let that truth ring louder than any drone.
