The violence that soaked the streets of Bishkek was triggered by an incident on 13th May 2024. Reports state that Pakistani students molested a minor girl from Kyrgyzstan. This heinous act was captured on video and quickly went viral. The video depicted a clear breach of trust and hospitality extended to foreign students, leading to widespread condemnation and demands for justice.

The authorities did not take strict action against the offender. Thus, the locals took matters into their own hands. Seemingly, the apathy to the local feelings resulted in an outrage among the local Kyrgyz population. And this outrage poured out in the form of violence against all Pakistani students onto the streets of Bishkek.

On the night of 17th May 2024, large crowds gathered to demand strict action against the foreign students involved. The demands turned violent and social media flooded with panic texts from Indian Subcontinent students in Kyrgyzstan. Finally, the Kyrgyz police, in riot gear, were deployed to quell the violence, but the situation remained volatile.

Thankfully, the Kyrgyz government took immediate steps to address the crisis. Law enforcement agencies detained several individuals involved in the initial incident and subsequent unrest. Many Islamists of Bharat, who loved to talk about minority oppression and #MuslimsUnderAttack on social media, found themselves in an embarrassing position. They had to reach out to the same administration they actively abused and beg for help. Why? Because all students from the subcontinent look similar. Thus, Indian students were afraid of being marked as Pakistani by the violent mob in search of justice. The Indian embassy in Kyrgyzstan promptly advised all Indian nationals to stay indoors and maintain regular contact with the embassy. External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar also urged Indian students to follow safety protocols and stay updated through official channels.

Hilariously, Pakistani students also started to claim Indian identity to secure their safety. The move shows that Islamists disrespect the nation with full confidence that nature will not forsake them in their time of need. This confidence comes from the way the Indian students were helped during the crisis in Ukraine and Israel. Thus, the work done by the MEA, despite abuse from radicals and anti-India forces, once again proves that Bharat’s word is enough to guarantee the safety of its citizens.

Pakistani Government Forced To Take Back Students

In the face of escalating violence, the Pakistani government was forced to act quickly. On 18th May 2024, a special flight carrying 180 Pakistani students landed in Lahore. The students seem no longer welcome in the nation. Thus, it seems that these bunch of young men and women will not be able to continue their studies in Kyrgyzstan.

Additionally, Kyrgyzstan may also Turkey in placing Pakistani people on a ban list. What does it mean? Well, it seems students from Pakistan may not be allowed to ever seek education and a new life in Kyrgyzstan. Therefore, speculations of deeper repercussions run high as the situation develops into an international nightmare.

The Broader Impact of Kyrgyzstan Violence

This mob justice in Kyrgyzstan shows that the fanatic and one-track paedo-mind of Islamists is not welcome in most Muslim nations. It underscores the lack of cultural sensitivity, mutual respect, and strict adherence to local laws and norms among Pakistani students around the world. Moreover, the violence in Bishkek also serves as a stark reminder of the delicate balance required to maintain peace and harmony in multicultural settings.

Thus, the deportation of 180 Pakistani students from Kyrgyzstan following the molestation of a minor also points to the broader issues of women’s safety. Are women safe among one-book mindset people? Therefore, as the governments work to resolve the issue, the molestation incident in Bishkek add another mark of shame on the head of Pakistanis.
