Political Hypocrisy – Gandhi Parivaar and Inheritance Tax

Must Read

Gandhi wants Wealth Redistribution while his handler Sam Pitroda speaks of Inheritance Tax as a possible policy. When these are simplified for public consumption by PM Modi, the Congress party and the Gandhi Parivaar get extremely bothered and emotional. However, the known facts about this family reveals that few families would have wielded as much influence and power in the nation.

When they speak of ‘kurbani’ (sacrifice) for the nation, they seem to hide their lies and webs of self-interest. Let’s peel back the layers of their carefully crafted facade and expose the truth lurking beneath.

Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fund – A Legacy of Opportunism

Jawaharlal Nehru, the patriarch of the Nehru-Gandhi dynasty, breathed his last in May 1964. His only daughter, Indira Gandhi, wasted no time in setting up a trust fund to escape the Death Tax or Inheritance Tax on his demise. She established the Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fund in August 1964. The public face of the fund is ostensibly to honor his memory and perpetuate his legacy. However, behind the veil of philanthropy and scholarships may be a more sinister agenda.

Indira Gandhi consolidated her father’s assets and turned the taxable portion under the Estate Duty Act into property of this fund. Then she became the Secretary of this fund and wielded unchecked control over its funds. The entire Congress cabal comprised of the 22-member panel overseeing its operations. Today, a mysterious 110-member board controls its vast assets, shrouded in secrecy and shielded from public scrutiny.

Gandhi Parivaar’s Illegal Occupation Unmasked

The saga of the Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fund has a darker overture. The fund’s office controls the Nehru-Gandhi home in Allahabad, which the INC claims to be given over to the nation to pay the Estate Tax. Moreover, the Fund also unlawfully occupied Nehru’s former residence ‘Teen Murti‘ till 2023. The official residence and government property were converted into a museum in Nehru’s name. Without proper lease or rent agreements with the government, the Gandhi family brazenly usurped government land for their personal glorification.

In 2018, the BJP-led Union government finally challenged this illegal occupation. INC’s star lawyer, Kapil Sibbal termed it as an insult to a freedom fighter and stated that the occupation was the norm since ’67. However, to date, the Gandhi Parivaar could not present any legal proof as to why a personal trust fund occupied a government building. Therefore, the illegal occupation of Teen Murti exposes the Gandhi family’s contempt for the rule of law.

In a stunning rebuke, the memorial museum was rechristened as the Prime Minister’s Museum and Library under central control in 2023. Thereby, stripping the Gandhis of their ill-gotten gains and restoring accountability to the people. Do you see how Gandhi Parivaar ensured a fair distribution of the nation’s wealth?

Gandhi Parivaar’s Great Inheritance Tax Escape: A Tale of Political Favoritism

As fate would have it, when Indira Gandhi met her unexpected end in 1984, she bequeathed her vast fortune not to the nation but to her grandchildren Rahul and Priyanka. Under normal circumstances, her assets would have been subject to the Estate Duty Act. However, reports state that a levy was placed on the estate to protect it from state control.

In March 1985, the Rajiv Gandhi-led Congress abolished the Estate Duty Act. They called it a waste of resources and harassment of citizens. Why? To label this abolishment as an act of public good. However, only estates that were passed on after 16th March 1985 were protected from this Estate Duty Act. Reports state that soon the levy on Indira’d estate vanished and the grandchildren inherit the estate intact. Was this in an act of brazen self-interest? Was the Estate Duty Act conveniently abolished?

Exposing the Hypocrisy of CONgress

Congress is a master of hypocrisy. It was founded by a retired British Civil Servant, Allan Octavian Hume. Its unelected leader was the First PM of the nation. And its first family has kept a stranglehold on the nation’s resources since then. It seems that few political families have mastered the art of hypocrisy quite like the Nehru-Gandhis. The above events will lead any thinking individual to ask what is the truth behind their facade of sacrifice and service to the nation. Is the Gandhi Parivaar a tale of greed, entitlement, and exploitation of power? Only Paramatman knows!

During election season, Sam Pitroda, the handler of Rajiv and overseas agent of Rahul, shamelessly advocates for policies like the ‘Inheritance Tax’ as a means of Wealth Redistribution. Do you see the duplicity of the Congress? If implemented, how will they protect their ‘private wealth’ when Mataji passes away? INC’s words and the Gandhi clans’ promises ring hollow in the face of their historical and blatant exploitation of loopholes for personal benefits. It seems they conveniently evade civic responsibilities when they are in power, all while preaching socialism and sacrifice to the masses.

While INC screams ‘jumal’ at every PM Modi speech, the above are a few facts that expose the hypocrisy of the Nehru-Gandhi empire. Will this tale of subverted laws awaken the people to the truth behind the Gandhi dynasty’s political machinations? This election season, Bharat should analyze not just the last 10 years of PM Modi, but also the 65 years that precede BJP’s rule. Compare their 65-year socialism model to the 10 years of fast-tack development model. Only then cronyism, corruption, and complete chaos of the Parivaar will be exposed. Therefore, let the 2024 general election be a triumph of democracy over Gandhian impunity.
