TMC MP Mahua Moitra demanded the beheading of HM Amit Shah in a news byte. Why? She made the statement against Amit Shah for failing to stop illegal immigration. However, her words crossed a red line. Yet, intolerance in tone is only part of the problem.
The real irony lies in the TMC’s own role in facilitating illegal immigration.
TMC leaders are frequently caught on video assuring Rohingyas and Bangladeshis of Aadhar Cards and voter IDs in West Bengal. Courts found a few TMC candidates to be Bangladeshis themselves. Even the land for the BSF is denied by the TMC government. Moreover, they also cry foul when the central government tries to stop the infiltration or clean up the nation. Is this double-speak or dogwhistling part of Mahua Madness?
Mahua Moitra’s Violent Rhetoric and Its Dangerous Implications
In a speech that stunned Parliament, Mahua Moitra declared:
“If Infiltrators are eyeing our mothers and sisters… then Amit Shah’s head must be chopped off and put on the table.”
This incitement ventures beyond political hyperbole. These words celebrate violence against a Home Minister. It can be stretched to show premeditated political undertones that border dangerously on sedition. However, Mahua’s statements are not isolated acts of political drama for media relevance.
Instead, her statements serve to animate fringe elements among radical “peaceful” groups. All they need is a dog whistle to attack a leader or activist. And such incendiary words suit their purpose well – especially the “peaceful” STSJ reference in them! Moreover, it serves those with vested interests in destabilizing national institutions. If unchecked, Mahua’s statement could embolden “peacefuls” to believe violence, even against the Home Minister, is a legitimate political weapon.
Hypocrisy of the Accuser: The State That Invites Infiltrators
Mahua Moitra’s outrage cannot be detached from the TMC’s systemic enabling of illegal infiltration:
- Investigative reports (e.g., police actions in Gurgaon) reveal that most illegal immigrants from Bangladesh and Rohingya were caught after carrying valid voter IDs and Aadhar cards issued in West Bengal.
- Calcutta HC ruled that TMC Leader Alo Sarkar was a Bangladeshi citizen and dismissed Sarkar’s election petition.
- TMC Panchayat leader of Malda, Lovely Khantun aka Nasia Sheikh, was stripped of her post after she skipped court dates and failed to prove her identity as “Indian”.
- A high-profile case involving Shanta Paul highlights the reality of West Bengal’s complicity in facilitating infiltrators. Paul, a Bangladeshi model, made an Indian passport and other ID proofs using the corrupt officials in West Bengal to stay in India!
- Meanwhile, the West Bengal government continues to deny land to the BSF. India intends to complete the fencing of the Indo-Bangladesh border in West Bengal. However, 569 km of the total 2216.7 km stretch is still unfenced due to the denial of land to the BSF. Thus, the TMC government is hindering border infrastructure that is a necessity to control infiltration.
In effect, TMC sponsored infiltration. And now, TMC MP Mahua Moitra is accusing HM Shah of negligence for trying to secure borders.
It’s the height of “ulta chor kotwal ko daante” – the cheat scolds the wise.
Decoding Mahua’s False Flag and Violent Whisper Messaging
The broader context shows Mahua Moitra’s comments as not accidental, but part of a calculated political signal. Her words planted the following in the minds of her fans:
- She frames Amit Shah’s “failure” as a personal betrayal; she amplifies communal divisions.
- STSJ’s comment demands censure or worse against the Home Minister. Thus, she sets a precedent that democratic checks can be replaced with vigilante justice of the “peaceful” kind.
- Her tactic acts as a “false flag” – blaming central failures while hiding the state government’s complicity in infiltration and voter identity fraud.
In a world of hashtags and outrage theater, Mahua scores top marks. However, her remarks serve as emotional accelerants to radical “peacefuls” and their fervor for the STSJ of BJP leaders. They can be the fuel that lights the fire among fringe “peaceful” elements for recruitment and action.
Dear Madam Moitra – Guard Democracy, Not Destroy It
India’s democracy thrives on debate, not bloodlust. Calls for violence, even metaphorically, are not “just politics.” They erode public trust in institutions and positions. And they allow loose tongues to wag indiscriminately. If TMC and leaders like Mahua Moitra truly care about secular values and voter rights, they should:
- Support border security infrastructure, granting land to the BSF.
- Investigate those who provide fake documents to Bangladeshi and Rohingya in West Bengal and subject them to harsh justice!
- Condemn organized infiltration and do not defend it under the guise of “Benagli” identity.
- Refrain from incendiary rhetoric that normalizes beheading talk, even as a metaphor.
Firebrands may thrill on social media, but democracy demands responsibility beyond the viral. Mahua Moitra’s words are not only reckless; they point to a deeper rot of India’s political class.
Today, TMC and its Leaders demand protection for infiltrators while pointing dirty fingers at the center – even at the cost of the nation’s integrity and security.
