Rajasthan: Hindu Man Killed by Peacefuls After Minor Accident

Must Read

On Friday, 4th July, a shocking case of mob violence unfolded in Jahazpur town in Bhilwara district, Rajasthan. According to police and local reports, a Hindu man named Sitaram was brutally beaten to death by a mob of peacefuls after a minor accident near the Takia Masjid.

Sitaram was travelling with his friends Sikandar, Dilkhush, and Deepak in a car that accidentally skidded and toppled a vegetable cart loaded with onions and potatoes. The cart belonged to a local seller, Raees Fakir.

Realising the accident, Sitaram immediately stepped out, folded his hands in apology, and promised compensation for the damage. Despite his humble plea, a group of peacefuls quickly gathered at the spot and turned violent.

Who Was Involved?

The mob, as identified by police, included individuals named Babu Khan, Wasim, Shahrukh, Saddam, Hasnain, Mohsin, Sahil, Islam, Tanveer, Sharif, Hanif, Abid, Idrees, Gulzar, and Murtaza. They surrounded Sitaram and began to thrash him mercilessly.

When his friends tried to intervene, they were threatened back. In the chaos, the mob also set fire to the car, reportedly cutting off the vehicle’s wiring to ensure that no one could flee.

Sitaram’s friends somehow managed to lift him onto a motorcycle and rush him to a local hospital. Tragically, doctors declared him dead on arrival. (Rajasthan)

Aftermath and Community Outrage

As news of Sitaram’s death spread, hundreds of locals gathered outside the government hospital demanding immediate justice. BJP MLA Gopichand Meena reached the spot, condemning the incident and calling for strict action.(Rajasthan)

To control rising tensions, police forces were deployed heavily in Jahazpur, and shops were shut down as a precaution. Authorities confirmed that one suspect had been arrested while several others were taken in for questioning.

A Disturbing Pattern of Targeted Violence

This incident is not isolated. Increasingly, it is observed that whenever peacefuls find the slightest opportunity, whether it is a minor road accident, a petty argument, or even a routine transaction, they quickly turn to violence when they discover the other person is Hindu.

Here, despite Sitaram’s clear remorse and willingness to compensate, the mob’s reaction was swift, brutal, and entirely disproportionate. It speaks to a worrying environment where harming Hindus has, in many cases, become an instinctive response for radicals looking for any pretext.

A Wake-Up Call for Vigilance

These growing incidents underline why Hindus must remain vigilant. It is becoming all too common for peacefuls to weaponize everyday disputes into occasions of mob aggression targeted specifically at Hindus. This dangerous atmosphere needs to be acknowledged openly so that adequate security and societal awareness can prevent such tragedies in the future.
