Turkey: President Erdogan has once again used the United Nations General Assembly to peddle Pakistan’s propaganda by raking up the Kashmir issue. Instead of addressing Turkey’s collapsing economy or the suffering of his own citizens, Erdogan chose to echo Islamabad’s false narratives.

Why Erdogan Targets India
Erdogan’s obsession with Kashmir is not about peace. It is about projecting himself as the leader of the Muslim world and strengthening Pakistan’s anti-India narrative.
For decades, Turkey has sided with Pakistan over India — whether in global forums, military cooperation, or propaganda campaigns. This is not friendship, it is a civilizational rivalry dressed up as diplomacy. By targeting India, Erdogan fuels Pakistan’s insecurities while trying to position Turkey as the champion of Islamist causes worldwide.
Turkey’s Long History of Anti-India Stance
Turkey’s hostility towards India is not new. Since the Cold War era, Ankara has backed Pakistan’s false claims on Kashmir. Rather than recognizing Kashmir as India’s internal matter, Turkey has repeatedly internationalized the issue.
Whether it is speeches at the UN, pressure through the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), or military ties with Pakistan, Turkey has chosen confrontation over cooperation with India.
Military Links With Pakistan: From Training to Drones
Erdogan’s government has gone beyond empty speeches. Turkey has actively supported Pakistan’s military with weapons, drones, and training.
During Operation Swift Retort (2019) and later in Operation Sindoor, Turkey openly backed Pakistan supplying drones, armaments, and even operational expertise. This was not defense cooperation; it was direct support to Pakistan’s anti-India designs.
Every drone, every operative, every bit of military support from Ankara strengthened Islamabad’s ability to export terror across borders. Turkey wasn’t just aiding Pakistan’s army — it was indirectly helping Pakistan-backed terrorists target India.
The Hypocrisy of Erdogan
When Turkey was devastated by a massive earthquake in 2023, it was India that launched Operation Dost, sending relief materials, rescue teams, and humanitarian aid.
The world applauded India’s generosity, but Erdogan’s betrayal came swiftly. Despite India’s help during Turkey’s darkest hour, Erdogan returned to his old script — criticizing India at the UN and glorifying Pakistan.
This double-faced behavior shows Erdogan’s politics clearly: opportunistic abroad, divisive at home.
From Pahalgam to the UN: The Same Agenda of Hate
From terror strikes in Pahalgam to gestures inside cricket stadiums, the script remains the same Pakistan and its backers like Turkey thrive on hate against India.
The maqsad is clear: their religion of hate doesn’t preach peace, it preaches enmity with India. Erdogan’s words at the UN mirror Pakistan’s propaganda on the ground. And this is not just the policy of an army or a government — it reflects the deep-rooted mindset of their population, indoctrinated for generations.
The Economic Disaster Behind Erdogan’s Politics
In his obsession with becoming the so-called leader of Islamic countries, Erdogan has destroyed Turkey’s economy. His reckless policies and political adventurism have pushed Turkey’s GDP into freefall.
Inflation is sky-high, unemployment is crippling, and the Turkish lira has lost so much value that Turkish citizens have started accepting euros on a mass scale in daily transactions.
Instead of fixing this economic collapse, Erdogan continues to waste political capital attacking India and defending Pakistan’s terror narrative. This is hypocrisy at its peak a leader who cannot provide stability at home pretends to lecture the world about peace abroad.
Erdogan’s Khalifa Ambition: Using Kashmir to Lead OIC
Erdogan dreams of becoming the face of the Islamic world. By constantly speaking on Kashmir, he challenges Saudi Arabia’s influence and tries to crown himself as the voice of Muslim nations. But the result is the opposite. Turkey’s economy has collapsed, its people have lost faith in the lira, and the country is isolated internationally. Erdogan’s obsession with Pakistan and Kashmir has only weakened Turkey.
India’s Response: Strength Over Stunts
India does not need to engage in Erdogan’s propaganda wars. India responds with growth, leadership, and global partnerships. Whether it is humanitarian aid, economic progress, or standing firm against terrorism, India’s actions speak louder than Erdogan’s words.
No matter how many times Erdogan repeats Pakistan’s lies, Kashmir will remain an inseparable part of India. Propaganda cannot undo sovereignty.
