Bullying or Moot Jihad – Badaun Peeing in School Bottle Scandal?

In Badaun, Uttar Pradesh, three Muslim schoolboys urinated inside the water bottles of Hindu girls. The violation of personal consumables was so grotesque that even adults struggled to process it. The girls narrowly avoided consuming it, discovering the truth only when the strong stench exposed the bottle’s contents the next day.

On the surface, many are dismissing it as “childish mischief” or even “school bullying” – Yet, the pattern of a Moot Jihad appears to many others!

Recently, the practice of “peacefuls” urinating in Hindu drinks has emerged. Moot Jihad is a humiliation tactic used to degrade Hindus and desecrate the body they revere as a temple of God! The Badaun school bottle pee incident stops looking random in the light of the identity of the mischief makers! Instead, like the water in those bottles, it reeks of ideological “peacefulness”.

Why does targeted humiliation of Hindus reappear in multiple places — and why does it often come from a”peaceful” direction?

Badaun Moot Jihad: Not Mischief — A Premeditated Targeting

The girls from Shrimati Chameli Devi Higher Secondary School trusted their schoolmates. But trust was shattered when they noticed the smell of pee coming from their bottles. The traumatized girls confided in their parents. When parents confronted the school, the truth came tumbling out. Three muslim boys peed into the water bottle of a Hindu girl when they were not in class. The boys did not display remorse or apology. Instead, allegedly, the response was resistance and silence.

Police registered an FIR; however, since the boys were minors, they arrested the fathers of the accused boys first, citing “disturbing public peace.”

If the roles were reversed, headlines would scream “Hate Crime Against Minority Girls.”

Instead, this story is fighting for space under the barrage of information. Many organizations are trying to sanitize the news rather than clean the mindset that led to this Moot Jihad by minor boys! Why?

Because acknowledging it forces “secular” society to confront a truth many fear: Minor “peacefuls” are already internalizing Hindu hatred and “Peaceful” supremacy.

Connecting the Dots: What Is “Moot Jihad”?

Multiple incidents report Moot Jihad in the juice by “peaceful” sellers. Hindu customers have reported against such humiliation tactics. Activists and researchers have referred to these recurring patterns as “Moot Jihad”  or Urine Jihad as a strategy where bodily fluids are used by peacefuls protesters to humiliate non-Muslims. Here is the ideology that drives Moot Jihad:

• degrade
• mock
• psychologically wound

These are not playground pranks or bullying tactics of the strong against the weak. Instead, they mirror hate-crime psychology, where the goal is not physical harm, but identity humiliation. From Thook Jihad to Moot Jihad – the idea is to desecrate the victim without ever touching them. It grows in extremist circles that teach:

“Defiling a kafir’s body, food, or prayer objects is an act of dominance.”

Why does a “Peaceful” Child Want to Humiliate Another Child?

Bullying occurs in school rooms. Yet, this pee incident from Badaun shows the depth of anti-Hindu sentiments in a “peaceful” mindset. This particular brand of hate does not begin in a classroom. Instead, it begins:

• in homes and communities where Hindus are mocked openly
• in WhatsApp and Telegram groups glorifying humiliation
• in religious bubbles where girls or even people from other communities are seen as inferior
• in silence from adults who should teach boundaries

When a child’s brain absorbs: “They are less than you,” the next step isn’t debate — It becomes degraded.

That is how ordinary children become trained to see cruelty as normal.

For the Hindu Girls – the Damage Lasts Longer Than Headlines

These Hindu girls will grow up remembering:

• that their trust was broken
• Their dignity was violated
• that their trauma was minimized
• A secular society puts them at risk with “peaceful” classrooms 
• that adults – teachers, parents, or families – failed to teach true humanity to “peacefuls”

Badaun Moot Jihad by minors is not just bullying – This is a psychological assault.

Bullying is universal. A problem for students and a menace to curb for the teachers. However, the incident was not a mere “bullying” or “prankish” gesture! When the target is only women of a particular religious identity, it becomes a crime!

Targeted, identity-based harassment is a form of social radicalization – a hate crime in slow motion.

Final Word: Silence Is the Fertilizer for Extremism

The UP police have arrested the fathers and held them responsible for disturbing the peace of the region. That is the correct approach to the crime committed by minor “peacefuls” who are taught in their homes/society/families to disrupt the peace. If society refuses to connect patterns and the authorities fail to treat the crime, the humiliation and trauma of the young Hindu girls shall go unanswered!

If parents pretend ideology isn’t entering classrooms, then they are not preventing radicalisation – they are allowing it to grow.

Children do not wake up one morning wanting to defile others. They learn it from conversations, from silence as assent to actions of others by elders, and from hate dressed as “peaceful” pride.

When Hindu humiliation becomes daily news in Bharat, the society must ask: Who taught them to hate, and who benefits when Hindu daughters are made to suffer?
