New Delhi, January 31, 2026 – Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) is “at it again.” The university, which has become infamous as a breeding ground for anti-national and anti-Hindu rhetoric, has crossed yet another red line. Following the Supreme Court’s rightful stay on the University Grants Commission’s (UGC) divisive “Equity Regulations 2026,” Leftist groups on campus have unleashed a toxic campaign of hate against the Brahmin community.

On the nights of January 29 and 30, the Sabarmati Dhaba became a platform for open threats. Under the guise of “social justice,” mobs were seen chanting “Graves of Brahmins will be dug” (Brahman teri kabr khudegi) and “Brahmins Leave India.” This is not dissent; this is a direct call for violence against Hindus.
The Trigger: Supreme Court Stops Caste Division
The meltdown began after the Supreme Court intervened to stop the UGC’s new “Equity Regulations 2026.” Chief Justice of India Sanjiv Khanna correctly termed parts of these rules “dangerous for society.” The regulations threatened to institutionalize discrimination against General Category students in hostels and faculty hiring.
Instead of respecting the judiciary, the Left-wing groups (SFI, AISA, BAPSA) launched a protest that quickly revealed their true intent: dividing Hindus and targeting the Sanatan Dharma structure.
“Graves Will Be Dug”: Open Genocide Rhetoric
The slogans raised at JNU are not political statements; they are genocidal threats. Viral videos posted on x show the mob chanting:
-
“JNU Brahmins, leave India”

“Brahman teri kabr khudegi JNU ki dharti par” (Brahmin, your grave will be dug on JNU soil)
-
“Tilak, Taraju aur Talwar, inko maro jute char” (Beat them with shoes)
These slogans are a direct attack on Hindu symbols and the Brahmin community. It exposes the hypocrisy of these so-called “liberals” who claim to fight for tolerance but openly call for the expulsion and death of a specific community.
The “Ideology” Lie: A Cover for Hinduphobia
When confronted, these protesters claim they are fighting “Brahmanism” and not “Brahmins.” This is a blatant lie used to sanitize their hate. You cannot threaten to “dig graves” of an ideology; you dig graves for people.
This rhetorical shield is identical to the one used by extremists who distinguish between “Zionism” and “Jews” to justify anti-Semitism. In JNU, this “ideology” argument is simply a cover for deep-seated Hinduphobia. They target Brahmins because they view them as the custodians of Sanatan culture.
Silence of the Administration
The most disturbing aspect is the silence of the JNU administration. While they are quick to act on other issues, open hate speech against General Category students seems to be permissible. There have been no FIRs and no suspensions, emboldening these groups to continue their intimidation tactics.
Conclusion: A Hub of Toxicity
JNU has once again proven that it is less of an educational institution and more of a political war room against Indian culture. The slogans of “Leave India” and “Digging Graves” have no place in a civilized society. It is time for the authorities to crack down on these anti-Hindu hate factories that threaten the unity of the nation.
