Bollywood actor Salman Khan has received fresh death threats allegedly from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The Mumbai police received a threat message, demanding 5 crore extortion money to “end the enmity.” The WhatsApp message warned that if Salman Khan does not pay the money, the actor will face a fate worse than that of Baba Siddique. It read, “Don’t take this lightly. If Salman Khan wants to stay alive and end the enmity with Lawrence Bishnoi, he must pay ₹ 5 crore. If the money is not given, his condition will be worse than Baba Siddiqui’s.”
Reportedly, the Mumbai police is trying to find the source of the message. Meanwhile, the authorities have beefed up security around Salman Khan’s residence in Bandra. In the light of recent developments the actor has been on high alert.
Recently, the Navi Mumbai police arrested a key member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The accused, Sukha, also known as Sukhbir Balbir Singh, was detained in Panipat for his alleged involvement in the assassination plot against Salman Khan. According to reports, Singh had given other gang members a contract to attack the actor.
Police sources claim that in order to coordinate the planned attack, Singh had been in close communication with his handler, Dogar, a person stationed in Pakistan. The group purportedly planned to carry out the attack with weapons smuggled from Pakistan, such as M16s, AK-92s, and AK-47s.
Earlier this year, the Navi Mumbai police had registered FIR against 18 individuals involved in plot to murder the actor. This was after some gang members had fired outside Salman Khan’s residence. Overall, the Mumbai police is seriously investigating the case. This incident comes in the backdrop of Baba Siddique’s murder raising concerns. The Mumbai police has issued a look out circular for Shiv Kumar Gautam and Zeeshan Akhtar. Both had shot the NCP leader Baba Siddique.
