Dharampur Mosque: A Growing Concern
SNA Gilani, the state president of the Himachal Pradesh Alpsankhyak Kalyan Parishad, has voiced serious concerns about the Dharampur Jamia Masjid in Solan district. He described it as a “den of terrorism” and alleged that it serves as the headquarters for anti-Hindu activities in the state.
Gilani accused Muslim miscreants from outside of disturbing the peace in Himachal Pradesh by constructing mosques and graveyards without proper permissions. He claimed that thousands of Hindu women have been taken to other states by these individuals and emphasized the pressing need for action.
“There are several Army stations around Dharampur, including Army Station Headquarter Kasauli, Army Station Dhiksai, Sapatu, and Solan. All these have a threat from the Dharampur Jamia mosque,” Gilani said. He added that Muslims from outside Himachal Pradesh gather at the Dharampur mosque every Friday, despite there being only a handful of local Muslim families in the area.
Action Against Illegal Structures in Dharampur
Gilani called on the state government to investigate whether the Dharampur mosque was constructed legally. If it was built without proper permissions, he suggested that it should be demolished, just as an illegal mosque in Sanjauli was removed last year.

Radical muslims from outside have become nuisances in HP. Hindu women are being converted and taken outside. Famous Jama Masjid Dharampur has become den of terrorists. They pose threat to defence establishments near it! pic.twitter.com/ZFVDBOM9Xu

In October 2024, a court in Himachal Pradesh ordered the demolition of unauthorized parts of a mosque in Sanjauli following protests by local Hindus. Gilani cited this as a precedent and urged authorities to take similar action against the Dharampur mosque to safeguard Hindu women and the nearby Army centers.
Illegal Immigrants: A Growing Threat
The issue of illegal Bangladeshi and Rohingya Muslim immigrants is becoming a pressing concern across India. Even Indian Muslims have raised issues about how these illegal immigrants are tarnishing their image and causing disruptions. These groups often engage in illegal activities, including land grabbing and criminal operations, further straining India’s social and security framework.
The Dharampur case mirrors similar concerns in other parts of the country, where unauthorized settlements and illegal mosques have become hubs of unlawful activities. This highlights the urgent need for large-scale removal of illegal immigrants from India to ensure both internal security and social harmony.
Need for Stronger Action Against Illegal Immigration
India’s efforts to address the issue of illegal immigration have made progress, but a larger-scale operation is crucial to ensure long-term stability. The current administration has taken steps in this direction, but the process needs to be expedited.
With a potential change in the United States administration, a stronger ally like Donald Trump could help dismantle the barriers posed by political correctness, encouraging India to take bolder actions. Protecting India’s sovereignty and addressing the illegal immigration crisis should be a top priority, as it directly impacts national security and the safety of its citizens.
The Dharampur Jamia Masjid controversy is a stark reminder of the challenges India faces with illegal constructions and immigration. Local leaders like SNA Gilani have highlighted the risks to Hindu women, national security, and the social fabric of states like Himachal Pradesh.
This situation calls for immediate and decisive action to safeguard India’s integrity. The removal of illegal immigrants and structures is not just a matter of legality but of preserving the nation’s cultural and security framework. With stronger leadership and international support, India can take firm steps to protect its citizens and restore harmony.
